Investigating Sentence Fragments in Comic Books: A Syntactic Perspective

This research is aimed to analyze sentence fragments in a comic. The main questions raised this paper are: What types of can be seen comic Hunter X by Yoshihiro Togashi 1998? factor found uses the qualitative method conduct content and document analysis (Choy & Clark, 2010). source data was entitled ‘Hunter which researchers discovered six forms Sentence Fragments after studying data: adjective clause, adverbial nominal appositive, infinitive clauses, missing subject, participial, prepositional phrase fragments. information gathered from 30 chapters Yoshihiro's There were 34 Fragments, 13 (38%) Dependent clause fragment, 21(62%) into-phrase fragment. are 6 Fragment factors that investigated Bashir (2016), but only 4 found; namely, Omission Verb (50%), Subject (20%), Object (10%), omission both subject verb Appositive or list (10%).
